Single women can safely travel around alone. We just have to keep our eyes open! Dress conservatively. Some (but not all) people believe American women are 'easy.' Disprove this theory by dressing appropriately for any occasion. Nothing fancy - just 1) good pants/skirt that reaches the knee 2) not-too-revealing top.
Short sleeves don't seem to be very popular right now. Stay in public places/near crowds at night. What do you call a single woman miss or mrs. Let the nice Frenchmen buy you drinks in pubs:-) As always, make sure they don't add anything to it. French men tend to be more 'physical.'
